The Film Workshop
Join us for an exclusive Advanced Film Screening & Artist Workshop featuring Sweetwater, directed by Martin Guigui. This inspirational film tells the true story of Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton, the first African American to sign a contract with the NBA, forever changing the landscape of professional basketball in the 1950s. Highlighting Clifton’s remarkable journey from the Harlem Globetrotters to the New York Knicks, Sweetwater stars Everett Osborne as the lead, with supporting performances from Jeremy Piven and Cary Elwes .
In addition to the screening, The Artist Workshop offers a special opportunity to engage with an in-person panel discussion featuring director Martin Guigui, lead actor Everett Osborne, Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Piven, and international recording artist Shyan Selah. This event is free for students and offers a platform for creatives, athletes, and entrepreneurs to learn from industry professionals.
