When do Artist Workshops Take Place?
Artist Workshops take place once a month on a Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. Each month is a different topic. Be sure to check the schedule for updated topics and speakers.
Where do Artist Workshops Take Place?
For the 2022-2023 year The Artist Workshop will take place at The Courtyard Marriott in Federal Way, WA located at 31910 Gateway Center Blvd S, Federal Way, WA 98003.
How do I qualify for a Scholarship for a Free Membership?
Participants of color from South King and Pierce Counties between the ages of 14-21 will receive priority consideration for scholarships for a free year long membership to the Artist Workshop. To apply please fill out the application on the Registration Page. A representative will get in touch with you within 48 hours to confirm your status.
How many classes do I have to attend?
You can attend as many workshops as you’d like. Please keep in mind that while we may have workshop dates dedicated to a particular field or industry, the majority of our workshops are designed to build upon each other so that you’re receiving new and useful information each time you attend. But it is not required you attend each workshop if you are a member.
Who Will be at Each Panel?
Each workshop will feature a different panel. Some guests might be repeated depending on the workshop subject, however, each panel WILL feature 1-2 professionals from the industry focus. These professionals will often come from entertainment hubs such as Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, or Nashville, in addition to local professionals from the Pacific Northwest.

If I’m Under 18 Do I Need to Bring a Parent or Guardian?
If you’re under 18 a parent or guardian needs to give their permission for you to attend the Artist Workshop. They are not required to attend with you. Should your parent or guardian like to attend the workshop alongside you, they can do so by registering at the general workshop rate.
This workshop is for 4 hours! Will I Get to Eat?
Your registration to the Artist Workshop includes lunch! Within 2 days of the workshop you will receive a confirmation email with that date’s food selection. Should you not want the offered selections you are free to bring your own lunch or snacks as well.
What else should I bring?
Please bring:
- Your student ID or Driver’s License
- Something to write with
- Smart Phones to take photos or share information on social media are welcome, but please try to refrain from being on your phone during the panelist discussion. There’s so much information being presented we don’t want you to miss it!
Can I register at the event instead of online?
Yes! Just be aware, if you are under the age of 18 we will need your parent or guardian to give permission for your attendance so they will need to accompany you for in-person registration. Also, we cannot guarantee scholarship access day of event – only regular registration. So if you want to apply for scholarship, please do so prior to the workshop date.
